Here's a link to merchandise booth photos - more will be coming soon:
Another way we got lucky at this show is that, by arriving early, I found a great parking spot just outside the venue. Also the booth was located OUTSIDE of the ticket taking area. For the first time, I managed to buy my huge bag of merchandise and drop it off in my car instead of piling it up at my feet for the entire show!
We were told the gates would open at 7:00 (the show was scheduled to start at 8:00). It took awhile to get cash and wait for my turn to buy merchandise. Merry finally arrived (she was driving in from out of town), so we entered the seating area together around 7:30. We met other friends inside, and one told us he'd been stuck in terrible traffic on the way in to the venue, so we were very happy all over again to have spent the afternoon at the venue!
The countdown to show time began...
Although I prefer to shoot framed closeups, there's definitely an advantage to taking wider angle pictures (it fools the autofocus less often - I like how the details in the cropped version turned out).

dreamerjesse wrote:Great photos Taran. I especially liked the ones you took of them back stage doing the sound check. Julie looked very nice and waved to me when I yelled out her name and said a quick hello to her. I had met her after the Justin Hayward concert when he performed at Talking Sticks Resort last year. Keep on taking those great photos Taran. We fans appreciate all the hard work you put into Moody Blues Attitude and all the wonderful photos you share with us.
Aww, thank you Jesse! And you were a great concert companion the other day. We did have some adventures!
More pics coming soon....including a candidate for worst hairstyle malfunction of the evening!
