Justin's wedding sounded lovely and intimate...I think the restaurant should have served them because they were newleyweds!...I met my husband at 31 ,he was fixing my mum's car...he was 7 yrs younger so I didn't want to date him but got talked into it by his friend...during the blizzard of 93,I won our house at a home show but got stuck building it because he made a mistake...we married on June 24,1995,two years later, and a day after we got the certificate of occupancy for the house...I was already36...the day before at the rehearsal dinner I tried to talk about getting ready at the church but he kicked me in my knee real hard under the table...I knew at that moment it was a mistake, the construction had been a bit too much for him...I was covered in poisen sumac aweek earlier between my ring finger also but it had cleared up! My wedding started out with a blue sky, heart shaped puffies,a ring cloud over our home...My sister did my hair and put on my veil but he wanted the car washed so I went through a drive through car wash veil on and all...My gown cost less than my veil only $200 but it was worth more and the one my mom liked..I got ready at my brothers mansion and came down the staircase and my sister in law took pictures that she lost...my brother wanted to drive me to the church and later I found out to talk me out of the wedding to an abusive man...my now ex showed up in a limo and told me my bridesmaids had ripped their dresses...I thought what??? The driver drove 100 miles to the church going the back way...(the main road to the church was closed and no one called to tell us! Half of my guests missed the wedding...My brother in law played the wrong song as a joke and I walked down the isle to the wedding march...my new mother-in-law was not amused...my nephew forgot to pull down the white carpet to walk on...I was standing before the priest and had a bad feeling about the wedding and wanted to bolt out the back door but my mom and future mom and dad-in-law were in front of me watching so I tried to smile and became a byzantine catholic and received a gold crown on my head and my first communion right after...the limo scooped us up and we cruised around the park and I remember hanging out of the top and saw a bicyclist behind me ringing her bell and I laughed...at the reception we missed the rain because of the limo drive and my future mean siste-in-law got soaked and his gramma fell in the bathroom...I had a 3 tier cake held up by angels and the food was good I had picked out.I ordered the exact number of plates which was a miracle!I remember when I dedicated mack the knife by Bobby Darin to my father I had to dance to it alone because he had passed away when I was 18 ill since 1969...the chandelier above me swayed a little so maybe he was around... There was no honeymoon planned even though a family member paid for one in the Caribbean but my ex was afraid to fly so we went to the Hilton and read our wedding cards and he turned on the tv and he watched a horrid movie about a killer virus and I zonked out.The next day he made me wear his extra jeans that were too big to church...then we drove to ocean city md and I watched him from my balcony as he swam on a raft...I was on the beach until he told me about the critters under the sand...he couldn't father children but we stayed married until 2009 somehow...
