Taran, what positively WONderful photographs!  Thank you so much for all the work you did to share them.

So precise and clear...I am looking at a new camera in the near future, can you share what you use, now? I know lots of folks use their phones, but I am not adept at that and prefer a camera...

Again, thank you so much!!

I heartily recommend the latest version of the Panasonic Lumix - others have agreed with this choice in previous photography discussions.  I find that the stabilization is great as well as the optics, I like the telephoto and the built in functions.  I've tried out all of the other non-SLR cameras (sometimes venues won't let you bring in a professional-looking camera, so I looked for the best of the lesser models) and found this line to have the best of the best features when compared to even Nikon, and the price was a little better.  When I looked for a camera, I wanted something that would do well with wide angle outdoor shots as well as portraits - concert and otherwise.  This camera even has a great setting for fireworks (so that they actually come out in color!).
