In my opinion, this DVD is a "must have."  It's fascinating, and the extended version even more so (although at times it spends a little too much time just showing the drudgery of the rehearsals that went on before the actual performance).  But the real highlight of this DVD: Justin's performance of  Voices in the Sky.  It didn't make it onto the official Red Rocks DVD, but it is one of the most beautiful renditions of Voices in the Sky that I have ever heard!
I totally agree with you.  I remember when Higher and Higher had reported  that this documentary had been filmed.  I don't remember the details of the report anymore, but it had been done for a specific Television station, I beleive.   There was not reason to believe most fans would ever see it.  It was such a thrill when it was released.  It is such a great companion piece to the concert.  It is wonderful that all of that footage was captured and made available to fans two years after the concert first aired.

Highlights for me:

It was wonderful to see the late Tom Hullett who the Moodies have credited with being the driving force behind the Red Rocks concert talk about it.  I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Hullett, but I know fans who did always said he really cared about the fans.

I think this is the only commercially produced video that includes  Emily's Song.

I also enjoyed seeing Adam Thomas and Doremi Hayward talk about their dads.
