Hmm, I might as well add my two cents werth that I know I can be counted on for-from the opposing point of view, of couse-respectfully.

I didn't vote.

Reason being: The Moody Blues will always be The Moody Blues, no matter what.  Nothing will change that, or I don't think anything will.

Another reason why is that I look upon the push to initiate the Moody Blues into the RRHOF as a fan-driven effort only.  Not that I can't respect that this is what this is.

But, the Moody Blues, from my perspective, they are the ones, by themselves only, as working artists, who will lay sole claim to whatever gains and merits within the scope of their artistic careers they have managed to build for themselves.  As I see it, nothing, that in being associated with the RRHOF, is either going to add to or diminish, to any degree, from that end of which the means have been exercised toward the ultimate attainment of what they have garnered.

My personal view of the RRHOF is one of a status symbol only, and I think that this is really, after all has been said and done, whether they are inducted or not, for the fans (not all of them of course as not all share this eagerness to get the Moody Blues into this "status") and how a certain given number/sects of Moody fans feel about the whole thing.

It won't change one thing about nor for the Moodies, I don't think, for what they are in the business for, in all the time that they have been, thusfar.  If it does ever happen, it will be reason solely for the fans concerned with it, for a one-voiced victory whoop, and will only put the Moody Blues into a historical status-for the "fan perspective" to view and discuss amongst themselves.  Tthat status will mean different things to different individuals - depending on which "social mindset/group" they involve themselves in, within the Moody Blues community.  That is all.  Period.

All that said: where does this leave the RRHOF?  (From my persective: who cares?)

JMF(aithfully)HO, as always.  Alibis and rebuttals welcome (as always)

Carry on, then!

cheers
