Well, I am a MUCH bigger Moodies fan, but I've been an America fan for over 30 years.  AFAIK America has been touring pretty much every year for the last 20+ years, although I've only seen them 3 times (1981, 1989 and 1992).

There are some interesting comparisons between the Moody Blues and America.  Starting with DOFP, the Moodies released 8 albums of new material before Mike left in 1978. and America released 7 studio albums before Dan Peek (best known song was "Lonely People") left in 1977.  Between 1979-2003, the Moodies released 7 studio albums including "December" in 2003, and America released 8 studio albums, including "Holiday Harmony" in 2002.  So at that point, both groups had 15 studio albums, with their most recent being a Christmas album.

America's 16th studio album "Here & Now" was released in 2007, and they appeared on David Letterman, performing the new song "Ride On," with 2 younger guys that are apparently somewhat relevant, but I know nothing about (Ben Kweller and Ryan Adams).  So, the Moodies have to do the next one to make it even (unless we count "The Magnificent Moodies" and/or "Prelude")   ;-)

The clip of "All My Life" that I posted was from 2008.

PS - 3 weeks ago, Emma, our 5 year-old, broke her collarbone about 2 hours before we were planning to leave to go to a Sheryl Crow concert.  Two years ago, we had 2nd row seats to see Sheryl Crow, and we didn't go because Emma & her sister Rebecca were sick, and the baby-sitter was late... giving us more time think about it & decide we shouldn't leave our sick kids with a baby-sitter.  So we've spent about $300 on 2 Sheryl Crow concerts that we did not attend.  So... we should be OK tonight, because it's America and not Sheryl Crow, who is the JINX!
