“No major band has so relentlessly purveyed nonsense…were it not for their titanic success, in fact, they might easily be dismissed as an odd and overlong joke…it’s the artiness of their symphonic rock that’s truly crass, their self-importance offensive. Gods of 70s FM radio, they invented a sort of easy-listening psychedelia that resolutely combined the worst of both worlds.”

So wrote Paul Evans in the fourth edition of “The Rolling Stone Album Guide,”
nonsense?
Evans, clearly a cretin of limited intelligence; for to seriously study the rich lyrics of Hayward, Lodge, Edge, Thomas, Pinder and still make such a pronouncement confirms the accuracy of the label: CRETIN.
The Moodies are to nonsense what Paul Evans of the Rolling Stone is to credibility.
It is a shame his worthless rubbish made it into print.

Phill Marder's tongue in cheek approach to Evans' article hit the mark.
Bravo Mr. Marder
I still say, the RRHOF is a racket.
The odd selection of artists inducted thus far confirms my impression that the decision as to who gets in is based not necessarily on talent, historical impact, or longevity but something approaching nefarious (ness).
