The Moody Blues?  I've heard of them.  Paul Evans?  Never heard of him.
Last Rolling Stone I read was in college... I quit reading it when I quit smoking pot.  lol  Maybe there is a connection.  It also makes me think that Mr. Evans is high on something...  like himself.
for the lack of judgment the douche-bag showed; what he's likely high on is glue....and NOT the Elmers variety!.

The long running fans of the Moodies -- those who remember the times and what was going on in the world when the core seven came out -- know exactly how off base Evans is in his criticism.  Furthermore, the uplifting spiritual messages of a lot of the core seven songs is lost on some people, and apparently Evans is one of them.
Yep. All that beauty, spirit and soul went right over his pin head.

Finally, who is he to say that R&R is only what he defines it to be?  That it the height of crass egotism.
took the thought right out of my head!!.
The guy's entitled to his opinion but to feature that denigrating opinion in the fourth edition of “The Rolling Stone Album Guide,” is or was reckless and deleterious to a great band's reputation as well as legacy.
~ which apparently is the intent.
Someone's been grinding an ax for a very, very, VERY long time now and it makes you wonder what the Moodies ever did or didn't do to or for Jan Wenner? Cute
After the last round of inductees at the RRHOF, I went to the web site and looked at who have been admitted over the past few years..........
Look who is on the list!  The Moodies are in great company!  lol  As long as these people (Wenner & Co.) are in charge -- instead of real musicians -- don't expect the RRHOF to be anything other than what it is:  the personal playground for a small group of self-serving and egotistical wanna-bes.
That's the extent of it.
