the pictures look like the Moodies were having such a great time and really enjoyed playing and singing for their fans!!! I'm sorry I wasn't able to be part of their shows back then. I did go to two outdoor concerts in the late 80's and early 90's with them, but we were too far away to really "see" them, but the music was great!!! The one concert, I was pregnant with my youngest "Justin" and he just "kicked" to the music!!!

Judy-I sure hope you don't get tired of hearing about how the casino tours in the 1990s were the greatest era.  But honestly, they were.  I saw the Moodies numerous times in the 80's and the 90's, and when I heard they were going to start doing "casino tours," I jumped to the conclusion that they must have gone down a few pegs in the world of show bookings.  But I finally started giving them a try, and for some reason the band responded so much more intimately and playfully in the "intimate" atmosphere of a casino.  Who'd of thunk, huh?  That was also the time period when fans were all just getting Internet access and discovering each other.  And online friendships were made, and at the pre-show fan gatherings at the casino tours, fans who'd connected online finally got to meet each other face to face. I always said, at the time, that there was absolutely no Moody Blues fan I'd ever met that I didn't like.  It was a very exciting time.  Hopefully as we are able to get more and more television appearance films, concert videos, etc. up from that time period, you'll get a sense of the novelty and excitement that was happening. The fans were SO thrilled to meet each other, and the band was picking up on this vibration and performing their most exciting, and intimate, personal contact, eye-to-eye, shows ever.  That's why we oldsters have such fond memories.  The Internet had a whole lot to do with all that happened back at that time, that is for certain!

I could never get too tired of hearing about the earlier concerts!!! I love looking at the pictures again and again!!! I am "jealous" smiley: wink of the people who were able to meet the Moodies in person and enjoy that thrill of being part of their shows {{back then }} smiley: roll  Don't get me wrong, I love and appreciate every concert that I have been able to attend and will continue to see them for as long as possible, but, it must have been amazing to "connect" with them. The "band was picking up on this vibration and performing their most exciting, and intimate, personal contact, eye-to-eye, shows ever." That is what the pictures "tell you"!!! It's hard to explain, but I would have loved that experience!!! {{{Maybe I will "experience" a little of this feeling in Vegas}}}I know that true experience is a thing of the past!!
