Terriffic interview! Thanks so much for finding it and posting here. Justin was clearly relaxed and enjoyed the interview.

It brought to mind a much earlier multi-part interview I've seen online conducted by a young interviewer (who was much less polished than Mr. Sultan) in the US, in which Justin was very mellow and almost helping out the young interviewer, who showed him LP covers of Moodies albums and asked for Justin's reflections on each one. I think he must enjoy the young interviewers who put their own personalities into the discussion, not just asking the usual rote questions we've all heard a few too many times.

It was very interesting to hear, at the very beginning and at some other points in the interview, Justin's dismay and 'anger' at the way he was exploited-- by, unnamed here, Lonnie Donegan-- at the age of 17 to sign over his song copyrights to Donegan. He said that "no judge" in the UK has had the guts to overturn these expoitative contracts which a few other artists of his era also signed. He noted that his own contract wasn't even witnessed by anyone, as most legal documents must be.

Does anyone know if Justin has taken legal action of his own to try to overturn the Donegan contract and regain his rights? Given his age at the time of the signing, one would think there would be grounds for reversal of that document.
