The Moody Blues' U.S. fans will get to see the band again when the British rockers return to the States for a tour this fall, but prior to that, they'll also have the chance to check out the group's frontman when he launches a brief summer trek.  Singer/guitarist Justin Hayward has lined up a series of solo dates this August in support of his new album Spirits of the Western Sky.

The 11-date outing gets under way on August 2 in Munhall, Pennsylvania, and is plotted out through an August 17 concert in Atlanta.

Released this past April, Spirits of the Western Sky is Hayward's first solo effort since 1996's The View from the Hill.  The album was recorded in Genoa, Italy, and Nashville, and features a handful of tunes that incorporate some country and bluegrass influences.  One of the tracks, "On the Road to Love," was co-written by Hayward and Kenny Loggins.
