The Moody Blues' first Christmas song, "What Child Is This", was originally released on a charity CD. It has since been reissued on a number of compilations. Following are all of the versions that I know about--please add any new ones.

Two versions were issued in 1992 at exactly the same time.

Both CDs and the above cassette have the same catalog number:

The cassette and last CD are similar issues (note the catalog number). There appears to be no actual difference between the CDs except for the catalog numbers...so why are there three separate reissues in the same year?

If you haven't heard the Moody Blues version of "What Child Is This"�yet, I've included my youtube video.

I think "What Child Is This" is one of the best songs that the Moodies ever recorded - it's a real throwback to their old sound.� Too bad it wasn't included on December.

Dionne Warwick's version of "Oh Holy Night" (from the first issues)�always brings a tear to my eye--very powerful.
